New Day Marketing is proud to have supported The Bradley Lowery Foundation, raising funds in Newcastle City Centre for the ‘Super Brad’s Pad’ project.
Laura West from New Day Marketing, joined client Jay Wilson from Jaccountancy, and Chief Operating Officer Lynn Murphy on the busy streets of Newcastle-upon-Tyne to collect generous donations from the public to raise as much as possible towards the charity’s latest project.
The Bradley Lowery Foundation was established in August 2017 after the sad passing of the late Bradley Lowery at the tender age of 6 years old, after a long battle with stage 4 high-risk Neuroblastoma. Bradley became famous after striking an amazing friendship with then Sunderland AFC football player Jermain Defoe, which helped raise the profile of childhood cancer worldwide.
After Bradley sadly passed away, his mother Gemma Lowery founded the charity in his name to support families fundraising for treatment or equipment, not yet available on the NHS.
The Bradley Lowery Foundation – Brick for Brad Campaign
The latest project being undertaken by the charity is the development of a bespoke holiday home for families of poorly children. The holiday home is set to provide a safe space away from home to relax and make memories, outside the clinical setting of a hospital.
The finances of parents with a child who spends over 50% of their time in hospital can be severely impacted – meaning a trip away is rare, or sometimes not possible at all. The aim of the ‘Brick for Brad’ campaign is to support the build and provision of a luxury holiday home, that will give two families per week the opportunity of a holiday in the beautiful North Yorkshire coastal town of Scarborough.
Laura West, managing director said;
“We’re thrilled to have had the opportunity to help out raising funds for such a great cause. Bradley’s story touched so many of us, and we’re proud to be involved with such a meaningful fundraiser that will give lots of deserving families a well deserved and enjoyable holiday in the future.”
Businesses and individuals are able to purchase a ‘Brick for Brad’ as part of the build of the holiday home, or donations towards the project can be made on the Just Giving Page.
